Does your department at work have a planning meeting each month? Perhaps, you are the owner or the manager of a business and it is customary for you to plan a meeting each month with the purpose of things like presenting agendas or changes in your business. Whatever the scenario, from planning the location of your next monthly business meeting to planning the food, here are some ideas that might help you.
The Location
If you usually have the monthly meeting at your place of business and that is working for you, you've got it made. However, perhaps you've been thinking of changing things up a bit. Maybe there are too many distractions at work or maybe you just want to go somewhere different.
Have you considered meeting at a coffee shop? If your group is a very small one, you could more than likely just sit in a corner area that would give you some privacy. If there are more people in your group, consider finding a restaurant that has a separate room for meetings.
Wherever you choose to hold your meeting, be sure to put on paper the name and address of the location. Of course, if it's a coffee shop or a restaurant near your business, your workers will probably already know just where to go. However, it's still a good idea to make sure that everybody knows for sure where to go.
The Food
Will this be an early morning meeting, say one before the work day starts or one at the very beginning of your work day? If so, consider starting your menu with a choice of organic coffees. If you've never tasted those in the past, you are in for a very nice experience. The organic coffee will probably taste smooth and rich. In addition, creamers of assorted flavors will more than likely be available.
If it's an early morning meeting, think of ordering things like muffins or bagels ahead of time so they can be waiting for your group. If it's lunch meeting at a restaurant, consider finding out ahead of time whether those who are attending will want salads or sandwiches, and what kind. By doing so, you won't have to wait for everybody to place his or her order and you'll save important time.
If you're meeting right in your place of business, your menu can stay the same. Just order it to go or have it delivered.
